KAMIYO Episode 7: Amenotokotachi-no-Kami — Eternal Foundation and Fixing of the Sky

Prologue: The Vertigo of the Wavering World

After Umashiashikabihikoji left the pulse of life in the world and hid himself.

Soft mud and water still spread across the earth, and only a faint warmth, a foreshadowing of life, drifted as his remnant.

However, the world cannot stand on the power of life alone.

The newborn space was swaying as if intoxicated.

The boundary between heaven and earth was ambiguous, the sky drifted aimlessly, and even gravity was undetermined. At this rate, the life that had taken such trouble to sprout would not be able to take root and would be shaken off.

The world fell silent as if slowly regulating its breathing, wordlessly seeking.

What was needed next after the hot heartbeat.

It was a cold, hard "Stability" to bind everything together.

Chapter 1: The Blue Pillar Piercing the Void

In the depths of that silence, the world, not yet fully solidified, was certainly shaking.

Amidst the anxiety covering the world like seasickness, a single point in the void began to shine faintly and soundlessly.

It was not an explosive light, but a contracting one.

A radiance like a powerful magnetic field, trying to hold the expanding universe to a single point.

Eventually, that light became a single massive "Pillar," extending quietly but unshakeably to the heights of heaven.

The wavering sky stopped its movement abruptly, as if skewered by that pillar.

From within the light, a single god slowly appeared.

The fifth generation of the Kotoamatsukami (Separate Heavenly Deities), the final pillar.

The one who gives an "Axis" to the world. The one who makes heaven stand eternally.

It was the birth of Amenotokotachi-no-Kami.

Chapter 2: The Manifestation of Amenotokotachi

Just by his standing there, the surrounding air was filled with heavy tranquility (Seihitsu).

His figure was harder than rock and clearer than ice.

He was clad in robes of deep navy, the color of deep space. His eyes held an immobile light, as if seeing through time from the past to the future in a single point.

If Umashiashikabihikoji was "Motion," he was the ultimate "Stillness."

Dwelling within his chest was only the will to establish that which does not change, and to carve permanence into the flowing world.

Amenotokotachi slowly looked down at the unfinished earth and spoke solemnly.

"I am Amenotokotachi. I establish the foundation of heaven and grant this world unshakeable eternity."

His voice resonated through the world not as a roar like thunder, but like the reverberation permeating the air after a massive bell has stopped ringing.

Chapter 3: Axis of Heaven, Declaration of the Center

"O World, be still."

The god thrust one hand up to the heavens.

"The place where I stand shall be the center of heaven. With this as the standard, all directions shall be determined."

That declaration echoed into the deep layers of the young world, carved with enough weight to shake the roots of the world.

It was the moment when the concept of "Up," which had existed "somehow" until then, was defined by him as "Heaven."

Drifting gases and clouds began to align, centering on him.

His existence became a "Wedge" driven into the chaotic universe, giving discipline to the endless rotational motion.

Chapter 4: The Net of Light, Fixing the Sky

Then, a pale geometric "Net of Light" (Grid) spread out, centered on Amenotokotachi.

Like lines of longitude and latitude, it spread quietly but rapidly across the entire sky.

The layers of the sky, which had fluctuated and been unsettled until then, began to take shape as if guided by the net of light.

The aimlessly flowing atmosphere was confined within a dome called "Sky," and the force trying to expand infinitely was tethered within an order called "Universe."

"Remain. And exist eternally (Tokoshie)."

Responding to the god's words, the sky increased in hardness.

It was not physical hardness, but "Robustness as a Law."

The sky would no longer fall. The world had obtained a safe ceiling.

Chapter 5: Placement of Stars, To the Eternal Stage

Eventually, at the nodes of the stretched net of light, countless stars were born and fixed into their proper positions one by one.

Stardust, which had been merely flowing light, obtained eternal seats as "Constellations."

The world obtained an "Unwavering Sky" for the first time.

Looking up, there was the unchanging North Star, and the revolving stars.

Thus, Amenotokotachi carved the concepts of "Permanence" and "Immutable Axis" into the world for the first time.

The foundation work of the world by the five pillars of the Kotoamatsukami was completed here.

"The Vessel is made. The Spirit is filled. The Axis is set."

Amenotokotachi quietly closed his eyes and let his form melt into the background of heaven.

This immobile sky would become the eternal stage to receive the stories of love and conflict that would unfold among the new gods soon to appear—the Kamiyo-nanayo (Seven Divine Generations).
