Experience the silence of Zen. A hand-sculpted vessel for the ritual of tea, from the hands of a master passed into history.
[The Story: The Disciple of the Wheel] This tea bowl is a masterclass in balance and earth. Created by Touhaku Mimura (1929–1994), a master who honed his skills under the legendary Living National Treasure, Toshu Yamamoto—the "Magician of the Potter's Wheel." Following the passing of Mimura, his kiln has fallen silent, making every bowl that bears his signature a finite, non-reproducible historical treasure.
[The Art of Mindfulness: The Tea Bowl] In the philosophy of SOU WORLD, the tea bowl is the center of the Japanese tea ceremony—a meditative ritual where time stops. The tactile sensation of the unglazed clay against your palms, the weight of the bowl, and the natural "landscape" (Kigoma/Sangiri) created by fire—all these elements pull you into the present moment. This is not just a cup; it is a tool for mindfulness.
[Functional Animism] The raw, unglazed Bizen clay "breathes," softening the texture of the tea and keeping it at an ideal temperature for a meditative experience. Over years of use, the patina will deepen, reflecting the soul of the one who holds it.
